Good morning, I have an opportunity to purchase some rough cut Burr Oak of all thicknesses and lengths. I was wondering what a fair price per bd ft would be. Thank you, Tom.

Is the oak dry or green? That makes a big difference in the value.

And if it's less than 8 ft, the value goes down. Dan

Hello again, the wood is air dried and ready to go, it is all 8' or longer. Thank you.

From what I know of it, I'd say $1 - $2 a bd ft. But there are a lot of other factors you need to consider including grade, flat or quarter sawn, straightness, color, dryness, and width. I guess it is not commonly sold, so you will probably have a hard time narrowing down a price. I buy wood when I can from Craigslist sellers and rarely spend over $1 a bd foot unless it was graded and kiln dried. Of course, if you really like the looks of it, it could be worth a lot more.
