The speed controler on my 13 yr old Performax 16/32 just died. I found what appears to be a direct replacement for $38 + shipping - http://www.kb-controls.com/KBVC-14-H9053-DC-Drives-KBVC-14.htm which is a fraction of what Jet charges.
I'm wondering if it is worth it to replace the controller with the Smart Sand unit.
For those who have made the switch, was it worth the extra expense? How difficult was the installation?
