I bought a lot of wood. Includes a bass wood board I believe it is about 3 inch by 8 inches by 8ft. Any idea on value?

Basswood is pretty cheap around here. It's pretty soft so it has limited use. I used to mainly use it for carving.

Try to contact a carving club.

Was just at A/C Moores tonight and they sell that same size block for carving. Think it 15-20 bucks.

You could make a few nice electric guitars with that stuff, if it's the "right" kind of basswood. (Tight grained, with brownish streaks.)

Valk, I think cody could do better than that. I recently sold a bunch of 16/4 and 18/4 basswood to a fellow who carves decoys for $3.00/bf. We both thought that was a fair price.
