A friends Father passed away who was a master carpenter and he asked me to help him sell of some the tools he had stored in his garage. His family was decimated by superstorm Sandy so all us neighbors are kicking in to help them out in any way we can. Unbelievable, cases and cases of every kind of old wooden plane you can think of, brand new sets of hand auger bits, stanley chisels and some stuff I don't even know what is. I'll be selling alot of this stuff on CL and here in the classified btw.
1) Anywho this is a huge 1" carbide tipped drill bit. Looks like a machinist tool for some reason. Any idea what it was meant for? Wood, metal etc?

2) Anyone ever seen drill bits like these with the screw thinger? There is a box of carbide inserts of all different sizes that adapts them to different sizes. Any idea what their called? Adjustable forstners?

3) I guess this is some kinda center punch for masonry but is it all there?

4) These are all brand new still have coating on them. I have a bunch that are the diamond shaped shank for a hand brace but these have hex shanks so I guess these are just old self feeding bits you would put in a drill press right?

Thank you for any help. Don't feel comfortable selling anything I'm not familiar with.
