I am looking for stencil material that is reusable and I can cut in my laser. I am assuming Mylar is the best choice but I am unsure on thickness.

I can find it online but it is by the sheet not in bulk and fairly expensive. I'd like to find something in rolls or maybe a hundred pack of 81/2x11 sheets.

At Amazon you can get 8.5x11 and 12x12 mylar in 25 packs all thicknesses!

Oil board may also be a good choice. It cuts easily and clean and is inexpensive.

+1 for oil board.

I've also cut some co-poly sheets about 0.020"

Not sure what material qualities you need, but I have cut a lot of stencils for people from old x-ray films. They seem to like the stiffness/flexibility. (One woman had me make a diver stencil. She uses it for "body art" with the head of the diver disappearing below the clothing line.)

If Oilboard is a good fit to you, you can buy it also at Uline in several pre-cut sheet sizes, I also use Oilboard for jigs a lot.

I think I will give oilboard a try. How well does it stand up to repeated uses?

Never used oilboard, definitely going to try.

Mylar works well, but it's hard to get your laser dialed in for the correct settings to keep the mylar edge from curling. Once you get it set, it's pretty easy to do.

Oilboard is study, like I said my main used for it is for jigs, I have jigs that are up to two years old, at first I thought that I would be doing them again after just a few uses, I used them also for jigs in sublimation for key chains, aluminum dog tags etc. it takes the heat well also... it just shrinks a little after a couple of presses, so I cut them .02" bigger and I can have a reusable jigs for some time.

You can ask for samples at Uline, they will provide them to you with no problem, I'm lucky to have them 15 mins away. :)
