I only use if for cleanup. Never to actually thin. The last gallon was the green type. It certainly didn't evap as quickly as the non compliant. It also didn't seem as effective for cleanup chores. With the rag staying wet longer that is likely a good thing - which is a contrast to my earlier sentence.
I'd prefer to buy what is the most effective for my tasks. Green or the original?
tks

I have never in my life seen green lacquer thinner. Even the cheap stuff we used to clean our sprayguns in the automotive painting industry was clear. Any idea what brand it was? I certainly would not add it to a finish if its green nomatter what

I wonder if by using the word "green" the original poster is talking about an environmentally friendly product rather than one that is green colored.

i find the original to be better, if you can still get it. voc rules are making it impossible to get in some places and your simply left with no option but to use the "green" stuff.
