I did a Google, but got no clear answer. I need about 1/2 dozen pieces of 3/16" (maybe 5 mm) about a foot square extra good grade plywood. That means smooth, no voids, and stable. Anyone want to suggest a source? Thank you.

Mil Spec ply from Aircraft Spruce and Specialties. The used to have in Sitka spruce, Birch and Mahagony. We used to order from them for our ultralite racing canoes and kayaks. Haven't talked to them in about 8 years though.

Any hobby shop that caters to the R/C Plane crowd should be able to help you out!

If you can live with 5 mm, that would be the thinnest of the baltic birch plys.

Try your local hardwood lumber suppliers. You may have to buy a 5 by 5 section. If you need thinner stock, your going to need to check out the R/C plane and boat construction supply sources such as hobby stores, etc.

Sloans can fiil all of your needs. Great selection, great prices, great service. No, I don't work there. I have been buying from them for about 10 years.
