Hi,
It's been a while since I've posted here.
i recently made this Santoku blade with an octagonal wa handle. The bolster and butt are tenoned into the mid section of the handle.
I belt sanded the octagon shape to the handle.
i would like to start tapering my octagon handles and am trying to figure out how to set up on my table saw to do this in a controlled and repeatable fashion.
Any ideas?

I would think this setup would work just you would remove the wood with a saw instead of a hand plane:

The layout demonstration is excellent. Any suggestions how to cut the facets on a tablesaw?

Here's one for the band saw. Probably need to lower the centers to use a table saw.
