Wagner Finecoat 2 HVLP Sprayer & Dutch Boy Latex Paint

Will that sprayer work with Dutch Boy Latex paint ? Want to use the sprayer to paint the wood fence. Bought the sprayer years ago , and never used it . Still in it's original box.

I have never obtained good results spraying latex with a HVLP sprayer. By the time you get it thinned enough to go on smoothly, it is 25% water and that isn't recommended by the paint manufacturer. I looked up the owner's manual for one version of the Wagner Finecoat and it didn't recommend using it to spray latex. You probably ought to read your manual and see what it says. I have gotten good results spraying acrylic latex unthinned with a good airless sprayer.

I agree with Art. If you want to spray that fence, acquire or rent an airless sprayer which will do a much better job with latex paint.
