A local wood worker here in Columbus Ohio died and left a bunch of stuff that they need to liquidate. I went over to try to identify a batch of wood. Some of it was easy... couple hundred board feet of walnut, some red cedar, some oak, lots of cherry.... And then there are these two boards. Most of the boards had rough ends, so i could not see the grain patterns. If I go back out I will bring a battery powered circular saw so that I can trim the end a bit and see the end grain.
The grain pattern looks a bit like lace wood. I love these boards, but I have no idea what these are.

Next there was this board that is yellow. No idea how else to describe it. It seems like I should just know what it is, but I am unsure. I put a piece of chalk on the board so i could color balance the picture; should have done that to all of them.

Here are two more boards. The one of the left is labeled BR and the left is labeled A. This is where I really wish that I used the white piece of chalk.
