I'm going to be building a Split Top Roubo workbench next year. The Heritage School of Woodworking (http://www.sustainlife.org/heritage-school-of-woodworking/) has a class on workbenches and I emailed them to see if the class could be tailored to build a Roubo style bench. Their response was that would be too much of a change from their current design (http://www.sustainlife.org/store/classes/european-style-work-bench/) to accommodate in that class, but they are considering either changing the class for next year to be a Roubo style bench, or possibly adding a class specific to the Roubo. I would love to take that class. If anyone else would be interested, let me know and I'll pass that on to Jonathan (one of the instructors). The class is limited to 6 students, so if a few more folks show some serious interest, I think they would make the class happen.

BTW, here is a video of one of the benches Frank Strazza built: http://www.sustainlife.org/blogs/woodworking/roubo-workbench-tour/ Frank is a true master craftsman. He is also an amazing instructor and mentor. If you ever get the chance to take a class from Frank, it will be worth every penny and then some.
