Hi all, I am really new at this engraving business. I just bought a laser engraver from signwarehouse.com. Now, I need supplies. Can you recommend me a company where I can purchase acrylic, glass award, laserable acrylics etc.. for a good price. I did try to surf on the internet and found tons of companies selling the same products. However, I prefer advice from expert engravers such as the people on this discussion forum.

I also need to purchase wedding clip art cd so I can engrave on glass. Someone told me I need to use stencil clip art. I dont know where to purchase wedding stencil clip art so I can engraved on wedding glass and wedding cake knives. thanks in advance. I appreciate your response becuase I am totally new in this business.

Bryan,

It's worth mentioning that one of the SawmillCreek sponsors manufacturers laser engraving products- particularly black marble tile and Corian products. Check out the Northwind Associates Forum and support our growing bandwidth bill here at the 'Creek! ;)

I like Delvies (http://www.delviesplastics.com/)for sheet acrylic and Rowmark. and Colorada Heirloom (http://www.coloradoheirloom.com/index.htm) for wood. LaserBits (http://www.laserbits.com/) is expensive, but still good to buy small amounts and try out while you look for a wholesaler.

Good Luck

As Aaron indicated above we are in the process of putting together a list of materials and services that we intend to provide commercial engravers. Our current shop workload is keeping us from getting our new web site up right now but as soon as our schedule lightens up we should have a site that is informative, well designed and a great list of goodies. We will make an announcement soon concerninig our web site.
