Which one would you choose to engrave a vector or raster picture. Just curious and still learning thanks

It very much depends on the artwork.
Line art with no fill, vector.
Fills and gradients, raster.

This isn't for your machine and isn't going to tell you the whole story but you should really read this: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Use-a-Laser-Cutter/?ALLSTEPS

This question you're asking, is a question you answer in the first few hours of laser ownership. I think you need to start reading up on the basics of laser engraving. There is a lot of info on Google and Youtube. You should also ask Boss & Engravelab for how to videos or write-ups. If reading and videos don't help, you may have to look into bringing in someone local to spend a few hours teaching you the basics.

Ditto, took the words right out of my keyboard. Basics.

I thought you gave up on the laser as too difficult and sold it a few months back?
