When water temps get too warm you can loose cutting power.

But I have noticed when my water is too cold I seem to loose power?

Anyone else experience this? I seem to have a sweet spot on my water temps.

Fundamental laser Physics Clark :)

It's to do with the excitation states of the gas, too cold and it won't rise very quickly, too hot and it doesn't get to baseline quick enough. Gas has a stable temperature but the mirrors and output couplers work best at very low temps.

It is possible to get the best of both worlds (very high power / very low temperature) but not usually on a home based system as the climate controls are quite harsh
