I had to drive 10 hrs total to pick them up, but think it will be worth it. I don't recommend driving a rental box truck on I-10 during rush hour thru Houston.

One PC 60-gal air compressor, as far as I can tell it's in great shape. One Grizzly G0453Z 15" planer (with spiral head), also in great shape. $1250 for both, but then another $180 in liftgate rental (thank God for hydraulics) and gas to get it home.

The only thing I could find wrong with the planer (besides the transmission oil being a bit low) was that the original owner never bothered leveling the extension wings, the wings set screws were totally missing. So each wing dropped about 3/16" of an inch. A couple hours of cleaning, lubing and calibrating, and it seems to run fine. I'm looking forward to the spiral head!

Now if the weather would just cool down a bit so being in the garage isn't quite so miserable!!

Wow, great score. They both look in great shape. I have no idea what the compressor is worth but you definitely hit it good with the planer alone.

Grizzly sells that planer for $1850 new and HD sells the compressor for $633. Assuming are in as good a shape as you think, you did well even including the truck rental.

Congratulations!
