What I'm really looking for is a Black Anodized Aluminum with some type of foam backing. Found some for other colors, but not black. Could I take a material like dibond and get it anodized black? Any other thoughts minus just buying some self adhesive boards and sticking to them?

The foam back wouldn't make it through the anodizing process. You'll have to stick the ano to the substrate yourself.

Buy black anodized aluminum. Engrave it. Then laminate/glue it to foam/pvc/acrylic/whatever.

Otherwise you can absolutely get black "Dibond". The reason why I put DiBond in quotes is because Dibond is like the Kleenex of that world. You can buy Alumet, for example, for half the price of Dibond. It's not exactly the same product, but a lot of people find them pretty interchangeable. Also remember, these materials are not anodized but painted. When you engrave into it, you will simply expose the bare aluminum. It will also likely require more power than anodized aluminum.
