I recently posted a project that had wooden hinges and used 1/8" dowels to attach them.

The hinges were walnut and would have liked to use walnut dowels. I have made larger dowels down to 1/4" but nothing as small as I needed.

How can I make 1/8" dowels? Any suggestions?

This works like a charm: https://www.lie-nielsen.com/product/dowel-plates/dowel-plate-standard?node=4139
Of course, you can always make your own too.

the real tip here which you'd quickly learn is to split the wood to get pieces with no run-out and get it very close to size before hammering it through... dowels that small can't handle much hammerig force.
