Plough plane from a chisel?

I'm looking for info on using a chisel to make a wood plow (plough) plane.

Wondering if the bevel would be an issue.
Seems like I've seen it somewhere.

I've got Matt Kenney's plans off of Lie Nielsen, but too cheap to shell out the $50 for the 1/8 irons.

Paul Seller's has a video where he makes a rebate plane using a chisel for the iron. This is not an exact match, but might help.
