Maybe I am confused, but other than the $40 price differential, does anyone know the difference between:

They look identical to me.

They are the same. One is being sold by Amazon and one is being sold by Rockler, which I believe is running a promo on that lift at the moment.

The only difference I see is the more expensive one is sold directly from Amazon and the other from Rockler. Surprising as it's usually the other way around with Amazon.

Same, great lift, Rockler has it "on sale". BTW- I've had the Master Lift ll for about a year and am really pleased with it.

It looks like a bullet proof router lift. For few dollars more, you can get an Incra PRL-V2 with a quick raise/lower arm. However, the top mounted crank handle on the ML might be easier to adjust than the table mounted knob on the PRL-V2. It would be great to have a design with both.

The magnetic inserts on either system are awesome. Incra now sells some with additional vent holes that should have better dust removal.

Look closer; its the plate size. The $299 one says "Compatible router tables: 8-1/4" x 11-3/4" x 3/8" plate size " and the $339 one says "9-1/4-Inch x 11-3/4-Inch x 3/8-Inch plate size is compatible with all INCRA Router Tables and fits some other brands".

As Glenn noted, they have a small difference. The one that Rockler sells is designed for their own table. I went through this about 3 months ago and ended up buying the one from Rockler. I have a router table I build myself and it fits fine. No issues with it all. I did make sure that based on the smaller dims it would fit, which it did. Seems like I had one minor thing to resolve when installing it, but don't recall what it was, it was that minor.

The only only change I would make on the lift is to increase the amount of travel possible for the router. I switched between a larger bit and a pretty small one last Sat and found that I could not get the router to drop low enough for the cut I wanted to make. I had to loosen the retaining blocks and move the motor down some. No big deal, just would be nice to have an extra inch of travel is all.

Glenn wins again! Great catch! The rest of us almost led the good doctor astray. ;)

Amazon had them on sale awhile back for $229.

Also, if you look, another tip off is they have different weights.

One is sized for the Rockler & Benchdog tables, the other is sized for Incra tables. These are, IIRC, built for Incra by Jessem, with the addition of the Incra magnetic reducing rings. If you're building your own table, then just buy whichever is less expensive, as you'll have complete control over sizing.
