Not even close. That's a Fiber laser running with a Galvo head. You can buy them all day long, they've been around for a while. Now, that's a REALLY nice one, but they have been out there and members of this forum have them.

Those sphere coins are pretty nifty, I also like their laser and especially the hydraulic press.

I don't think they will ever catch on for general distribution. Can you imagine carrying a hand full of those pointy pyramid coins in your pocket?

I'd be more impressed if the laser just did the sphere blanks from scratch.

I've tool engraved similar shaped mold sections with my old NH3400 cylinder engraver.
My dad's old Gorton P1 pantograph's spindle would track 3D shapes with a guide mounted above it. He engraved all the original Daleboot injection mold sections that way.

That a galvo fiber can do it seems a little run-of-the-mill to me... ;)
