Hey everyone,

I usually only post over in the engravers forum, but recently have become pretty interested in all things CNC. I'm considering buying a larger camaster machine next year, but in the interim was thinking of getting my feet wet with a low-cost, smaller machine.

Through my research, the X-Carve by inventables seems to be a great starter machine. I'm curious if any of you have one, and if so, could I ask you a few specific questions.

Thanks so much.

I had its direct predecessor, a Shapeoko 2.

It's a great entry-level machine, though I wish they'd passed on the cost-savings of the single piece X-axis carriage. That does make it easier to justify a Shapeoko 3 instead though.

ob. discl. I did the SO2 instructions and volunteer on the wiki, &c.

Ordered one last night (the big one!), which means I can begin to answer questions in 3-4 weeks (+assembly time)!
