No, really, ask me.

Hey Brian..........why are you so happy?! :D

Because my Grizzly bandsaw tires just came in the mail, which means I can replace the ones that were so worn they kept falling off, which means I will have my bandsaw back, which means I can continue with my experiments with inlays.

That's why I'm so happy! And thank you for asking.

I just started having the same problem with my Jet 14" bandsaw. Did you buy OEM tires or get a aftermarket brand. I was looking at the Blue Max Ultra Urethane Band Saw Tires instead of getting the tires from Jet. They are even a few dollars cheaper when buying 2 of them.

I replaced the ones on my Jet 14" with the Blue urethane tires last year. I love them. The hot water soak definitely made it easier. I also installed a quick de-tensioner to keep the pressure off the new tires when not in use. could seem to bring myself to de-tension before I had the lever.

I got the urethanes from Grizzly. Checked other sources but the current ones of the same variety lasted 5 years and there were no others that were 17" without a special order. And yes, the warm water helps.

I have Carter tires and guides on my vintage 14" Powermatic. Love them.
