Mobile base recommendation?

This weekend I plan on picking up a Jet Xacta cabinet saw and I'm looking for thoughts on a mobile base for it. I've read the reviews on several out there (Shop Fox, HTC, etc.) but every one of them seems to have a fair amount of negative feedback.

Do any of you have a cabinet saw of this size on a mobile base? If so, what kind do you have and what do you think of it? I don't plan on moving the saw often, but every once in a while it does get in the way.

I do but its a Delta mobile base.

Same here on the Delta base. Check the dims of your cabinet and if this fits it, I doubt you'll find a better one.

I ended up going with the HTC 3000 base - seems to work pretty well so far.

I have one of these All-Terrain mobile bases on my jointer/planer and bandsaw. They are great (if expensive) especially for heavy and or "tippy" tools like a bandsaw. I have the HTC on my table saw, but it is an Inca and pretty light with a low center of gravity.

I have two of these in use. One under a General 50-220 Table saw, and one under a Delta 43-375 shaper. They work really well. It takes about 5-10 minutes to have it under your machine, and you're done. Set the wheels perpendicular to the direction of motion, or 90 degrees out from the saw blade.

came me to the same conclusion. The rest of the bases had 50/50 reviews. The only one that came out with nothing but glowing reviews was the rocklerr base. Ridiculously expensive though. I hate paying this much for it. But it was the best.

Even after shortening the rails (I don't have room in my shop for 50" rails) the saw still seemed a bit unstable on the mobile base, so I reinstalled the support legs after shortening them and re-tapping the inserts in the bottom for 3/8-16 threaded stem casters.

Since I have very little space and move machines around when I need to use them, I have everyihing (five machines) on mobile bases - each one different. The easy winner is the one on the cabinet saw - a Shop Fox sold by Busybee, Grizzly, and others as the D2057A. My saw does not have the extended table and so I don't have the extension kit for this base, but there is one (Grizzly calls it the D2259A) and lt may be just what you need.
