Well, their site is locked up again, with their garage sale.

Yeah. I can't get in either. No biggy. Hopefully, they'll sort it out soon enough.

That makes three who can't get in

Finally got the start shopping but it is so very slow

They had this problem last time too if I remember correctly.

All I get is how many items to show on the page. No items show, however.

There are people who specialize in events of this sort. The normal every day web presence a company may operate is not geared for these kinds of spikes.

I get the same. There is a link below where you click on Start Shopping that takes you to a page with a few clearance items, but they aren't what we are looking for.

Again. It is a relatively common thing with the LV site. I know they've made some changes, but it seems like their popularity in these sales is growing faster than their peak capacity.

It appears to be working fine now. Not much there for tool hoarders though.

Agree... can't find anything that interest me. Oh well, my wallet is thankful!

My wallet is thankful, and there is nothing to explain to my wife!

A complete waste of time (thankfully).

I was hoping for more tools but, the half off on knife hinges let me re-stock very reasonably.

Glenn,
The different hinges were tempting, but that was really the only thing I saw that made me consider spending some money. That is not a bad thing though, I didn't really "need" to spend hundreds of dollars today :).

Hi Maurice -
Sorry for the slow response times... our IT folks are scratching thier heads. We're running about 15% load, I'm told....
New servers, most recent SEQUEL database, and a wide open pipeline.....
They'll keep digging until they find whatever it is...

As of 10:48 EDT they are completely sold out. The webpage shows "1 of 0 items".

Uh, try again.
I just clicked and see the same 121 items on sale, with only one marked as sold out.

You are right, it must have been a glitch earlier. Thanks

There have been many glitches. This turned out to be a stress test for their IT department's new software. :-)

It wasn't displaying for me first thing this morning, but about 2 hours ago I was able to peruse all 121 items that were available at the time. Also thankful there were no tools such as the plow plane as I already spent a good chunk during their recent free shipping event.

I wasn't able to get on until Noon Eastern and everything woodworking related was pretty much gone. I would have been interested in the Kelton hollowing support but it's nice not to have to explain to the wife.
Rob, thanks for checking in here.

So what goodies did folks come away with?

I was really tempted by the pink elephant hooks, but in the end all I came away with was some browser cookies. Last week however I got the large York QR vice and some aluminum bar clamps so that I can make a Paul Sellers style workbench.

I have to agree with you Hilton, thankfully there was nothing of interest there, my wallet is safe (from LV this time - darn, I mean good...).

Well, maybe Rob will extend a gratuitous 15% discount as a consolation (hint, hint)?

I came away with zip. The first ten minutes all I saw was the first page of items and nothing of interest, so I left and didn't check back 'til I saw some of the posts here. By then of course everything I would have considered was gone.
Family stuff kept me away from the last sale event too. Just not getting things to click.:(
