Sorry folks, know this is dumb . . . .
Sharpened my spokeshave and plane irons, got out the brand new butt strop and green rouge from TFWW, and suddenly got stupid. Which side do I charge and use: the smooth side (like mdf) or the rougher side, which on one hand seems more intuitive, but not at the same time since I am seeking smoothness.
