Did anybody know where to get a new dust cover for old Jet 22-44. Cover I am using is fine, but only 2" dust port. I check Internet trying to find a new dust cover without success. Jet site is useless with most of the part out of stack. Mine machine quite old and not very easy to find parts.
Should I just make a new from some kind of plastic? Or cut out 2" and glue in a 4" port? Did anybody modify it before and show some picture, please ?

Thank you, Ed.

Have you tried ereplacement parts (http://www.ereplacementparts.com/jet-2244-649600-drum-sander-parts-c-32652_32661_154766.html?q=Jet%2022-44%20sander) ? They show the part on their website---for about $200.00

I think I would make something out of 1/4" ply or something

Thank you for link. it shown a newer model of my old 22-44 Pro. I am not sure it will fit in, but I will call Monday and would ask. Did anybody replaced this cover in the past?

I call Jettools tech support. For my old performax 22-44 they have only dust cover with 2" port. Any new covers would not fit to old unit:mad::mad:.
Now I have only one option - modify 2" port to 4". Question how and what material to use? Did anybody modified this cover in the past? Any pictures would be very helpful.
Thank you,
Ed

I have a Performax 44/22 that came with the 4" port, but I still found that port too small so I upgraded it to 6". I cut open the original OEM top, bought a 6" cut-in from Nordfab with a relative tight radius, and made some plexiglass pieces to block the ends of the cut-in. Put it together with epoxy and screws and am very happy with it now.

James, that is a really nice looking improvement. Thanks for posting pics. I may have to put a similar mod on my to-do list.
