Mowhawk makes a great thick bodied SS which is a good sealer and great filler. Try using it full strength before sanding.

Have you contacted Mike to see what he uses? Is it a particular brand or something he mixes himself?

Yes i have contacted mike and the brand he uses is made by chestnut products and all of it is sold in the uk,,,and i cant find no one in the us that sells it,,,
