I made the mod for the my drill press table awhile back and have been very happy with it, works really well.

So I needed to cut some angles on some small MDF boards, the best way I could see to do it was to use the tapering jig on the table saw.
I made my tapering jig a long time ago and it has worked very well for what I needed but for this job the T-tracks were just too far apart to hold the small MDF board.
While trying to come up with some way to cut the boards there hanging on the was was the drill press mod I had made. I did have to drill another hole in it but that was it and it really worked great.

Would block sample fore & aft at a minimum.
There are 12 degrees of sample translation (freedom).
(Its ability to move). You have but 1/12 under your control.
Bottomline: The work can get away from you.
