Nova 1624-44 tailstock quill hung

Just got my new lathe assembled and ran the quill all way out to see how far it would go.Went too far evidently,and now it wont retract.I can start it back on the thread and it will turn a couple rounds and hang tight.Anybody done this?Thanks

Got it ,the groove in the lock had moved up in the path too far so I took the handle off and pushed it back all way down and all is fine.Thanks anyway.First brand new one I ever had and went in panic mode.

Been there/done that with my 1624.
