The Honey Locust is 15” X 4” and has sat for 9 years in rough turned form, returned it and finished and polished it last week, did a few other ones at the same time, the Black Walnut is one of them, showed here before.

Very well done Leo. I have a very large locust burl drying in a closet now...makes me excited to work on it later this summer. What kind of finish did you use...it looks great.

Beautiful! Love how you do the rims.
Never knew Honey Locust had such great color and grain.

Very nice, and like the rim and base. I expect the wood was dry after 9 years. Glad that the color held, and the old rough turned bowls are still viable. I have some over 5 years old that seem to always have some fresh wood ahead of them.

Well done again Leo! Also interested in the finish as they have just the right amount of shine IMO. The bowls have a pleasant curve and I also like the rim and how you finished the bottom.

Thank you everyone for you replies :D, for the finish questions, I use polymerized Tung oil, following the instructions that come with it, polished after 3 weeks of letting it harden 314262
