Another (ongoing) project!
Acquired the (very hard to find) Delta Rockwell 37-815 KNIFE GRINDING AND JOINTING ATTACHMENT some time ago.
Two issues however.....
The first was that while taking apart the actual grinder of the attachment to replace the bearings in the nose portion I discovered the transition piece was "rotted" and unusable. Once I got it apart (seems to swell and corrode with age) it could not be used to reassemble the unit. It probably would have disintegrated during use if I hadn't discovered it was wasted!

So I made a new one out of steel...black oxide treatment to prevent rust.

Put it all back together...new cord also (with original switch mounted to it) and it purrs like a kitten!

So......on to the second "issue".....
The "stop block" is missing.
It is a spring loaded unit with two arms....for locking the cutter head in place and for adjusting of the angle of the blade presented to the grind stone.
Picture from an old manual:

If anyone has one "laying around" I need it....will either buy it .....OR I would love to "rent" it long enough to measure it so I can duplicate it.
I made a couple extras of the previously mentioned grinder unit coupler pieces and would be happy to trade one for the use of a stop block....long enough to blueprint it!
Thanks for looking ....and your help finding what I need!
