This is my donation to the AAW's Education Opportunities Grant auction at the upcoming AAW symposium. A linear laminated goblet from Australian timbers Jarrah (Eucalyptus marginata) main body & stem with Silver Ash (Flindersia bourjotiana) and Red Gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) veneers. The timbers come from Western Australia – Jarrah; Victoria – Red Gum; North Queensland – Silver Ash.
Approx 8.1" × 2.44" (205 mm × 62 mm).. Sealed with nitro-cellulose sanding sealer, then will have 30% nitro-cellulose lacquer.
This was the reverse mounting to prepare the "mortice" for the goblet stem.
