This is for those that are on the fence between the Chosera 800 and 1000. There is a bigger difference than the numbers suggest. I took a LV O1 iron and flattened it to 1000 and then took it back to my 800 and did half the iron up the middle on that so you can see side by side the difference in the two.
One thing about the 1000- it needs the slurry and doesn't cut very fast until that builds up. The 800 cuts immediately. The 1000 leaves a very matte finish and the 800 a very streaky finish.
The 800 is 14 microns. The 1000 is 11 microns. You would think there would be little difference, but the 1000 seems to break down more and leave a finer finish.
