Just signed up to the forum. Appears to be quite a step up from the one I am accustom to. I already see the names of a couple of friends/acquaintances.

I am in my mid fifties and have been wwing only about a year. I hope to retire in about four years and will have my shop already to go by then. It is a work in progress.

I will try not to ask to many stupid questions and help out when I can. I have been in the motor and motor control business for about 35 years, so maybe if some questions come up concerning that I can help.

Glad to have you here. Don't worry about the stupid questions, I can come up with a stupid answer every once in awhile. I'm sure your motor and control knowledge will be appreciated.

Hey Don...
Welcome to SMC.

I usually don't have too many motor control problems unless I've been flexing the right elbow too much. Sorry...it's been a long day.

Hello! Don,

Welcome to Saw Mill Creek it's a great forum and a bunch of great members, not to mention lots of wood working talent. Just pull up a stump and make yourself at home.

& sit a spell Don. Glad to have you join on at the creek. Lots of good people & some of them are great woodworkers too - not me mind you but I pitch in when I can. Don't worry about the dumb questions - I think I even asked one once ;)

I have always believed there is no such thing as a stupid question --- especially when it comes to woodworking.

From everyone. Hey, Jim Becker! You get around don't you? I don't see how you find the time.

Tell me, how do you get the little picture to pop-up next to your name?

Never mind. I figured it out.:D

Multiple computers...a fast 'net connection...and mental time sharing. At least when I am not traveling...

Jump on in, Don! If you can't feel welcome and at home here, you may as well turn your PC off now, 'cuz you ain't gonna' find it elsewhere, either! Just a great bunch of folks sharing in everything from woodworking to health concerns to gloats on their latest addition(s) to the family. Enjoy! We're glad to have you aboard!
