Hi all,
Does anybody have experience with "High Speed Router Spindle" of Hammer shapers?
According to their website, it gives us 15,000 rpm for router bits, but it is a factory-installation option. I wonder if it means I can't use regular 1 1/4 or 30 mm shaper spindles (3,000 - 10,000 rpm).
There is also a router collet option, which seems just an insertion to a regular 1 1/4 shaper spindle. So, we need to live with 3,000 - 10,000 speed.
More expensive Felder lines do have a "Quick-Change" spindle system, with which 15,000 rpm router spindle and 3,000-10,000 shaper spindles can be switched easily, it seems.
I want to know if there is anybody who got a Hammer shaper (F3, C3, or B3) with the factory-installed high speed router spindle and could share the experience.
Thanks,
Susumu
