My 7 year old DJ20 lightly used motor took a dump. The Chinese motor that came with has a Delta part number 912058 I checked and that has been replaced by A18569. Neither of these is available any longer. There are a few around but at Baldor prices.

I was thinking of a Leeson or a Baldor replacement but can't find a reference number. I called one electric motor place and they advised against going to a US motor because the old motor is metric. They said the US imperial won't bolt on to the metric frame assembly????

At any rate, has anyone replaced their Delta motor on a DJ20 and if so, with what motor?

TIA, Joe

The existing motor should list a metric frame size. Leeson make metric motors, likely made in China but OK. Techtop motors are decent quality metric sized too. Dave

This thread might help seeing how a poster recommends a Grizzly motor.

Measure the shaft diameter and the height from the bottom of the base to the center of the shaft. Compare it to the online schematics you can find on the internet for 1.5-2 hp motors. Dave
