I have been wanting to try this style piece for a while and this chunk of pear was the victim. 7-1/2 inches diameter X 5 inches tall. The dark spot is bark. Comments and critiques welcome.

PiercingPiercing is still on my to do list, but I haven't found my first victim yet. Looks like you could have gone just a bit thinner first, but nice job.

Well Dennis, It sure looks like you made the right move here! How did you ever train those worms to make the holes like that? Joking aside, a very nice piece and I like the shape very much. I was once told that shape
would be called a "sand bag" shape and I like that a lot. Nice work!!

Very nice Dennis. I like that shape too. I also like your relation of the piercings to the grain and along the color change of the wood. Well done.

Saw and handled this piece this AM. I assure you it is thin yeah. Dennis does everything disgustingly thin and well finished. We are still arguing about which is the top and bottom??
