I made this urn to hold mine and my wife's ashes (hopefully it won't get used for a long time). We told our kids to put the last one in with the first and give it a shake. They think we are weird ? Thanks for looking.

Maybe they should give it a shake every few years to keep things exciting!:D

Great piece Keith...I always love walnut and maple together

Hi Keith,

My neighbor was not a wood worker of sorts, so he just had his ashes tossed into his vegetable garden, and his wife elected to have the same done with herswhen she passed. There son now lives in the home with his wife, and every spring they just mix them up a bit with the roto-tiller.

True story, however, personally I like your idea better.

Hay, and the urn is a very very fine piece of work.

That's really beautiful. I'm not big on segmented turnings, but really like the staved pieces I see including yours.

And you're not strange with your request...same thing happened to Dr. SWMBO's 'rents when her mom died a few years ago. She and her husband, who died many years earlier, got mixed up and now "live together" in a niché at Arlington National. But their urn is a teak ice bucket from Thailand... ;)

I really like the way you did this one Keith. It's a real beauty.
