Has anyone converted their Speedy from a Co2 to a FLEXX?

I don't believe the fiber laser can be retrofitted but I am not 100% sure.
Trotec will do a trade-in though.

You can start with fiber or CO2 and add the other at any stage. It takes a few hours engineer time so be prepared for a day of down time but is a simple operation.

I saw on the Trotec site that it says Speedy300 co2- Flexx ready. That's interesting. Any idea how much to add fiber later?

Rough estimate? Figure on around $20k for a 20W...

Thanks Dan, that makes it a simple decision for me then.
PS. What size is the vent for a speedy 300/400. I'm seriously looking at one and have 4" duct from my Weike laser. I'd like to set them beside each other and Y the hose. Good/bad idea?

For any laser upgrade (such as replacing a lower wattage tube with a higher wattage tube or adding a second source such as fiber), you can expect the upgrade cost to be approximately the difference between the original configuration's retail price and the final configuration's price, and it could even be a bit more to account for additional shipping, swapping in parts such as higher capacity power supplies, and maybe a premium for the privilege of upgrading. If the upgrades were any less, the laser manufacturers would routinely lose money because many people would buy the less expensive configuration and immediately upgrade at a lower total cost than just purchasing the more expensive configuration outright.

Old models cannot be upgraded. My Speedy 300 is from 2007.

I was told that I could add Flexx to my Speedy 300 a couple years ago and I would like to do it just haven't found business to support the upgrade.
