Here's the next installment of pics for the bedset. Just a bunch of resawn lumber but hopefully the next installment will be of some shaped or joined wood.

Resawing a 125lb chunk of bubinga. I used a carbide blade.

Very nice material and I agree with Jason on that figure! I only wish that I wasn't so super sensitive to bubinga as I love the look...

I'm looking forward to the rest of this project, John!

Beautiful wood! Gonna make a really nice bed. Not to hijack your thread but, is that a 18" Delta you're resawing that with? If so, How do you like it?

Sure to be a beauty. My wood supplier has a couple of bubinga slabs like this I've been drooling over. but at 1200 a piece I'm still just lookin at 'em. Can't wait to see future progress pics.

well here's a few more of the nitestand legs being cut, rough shaped and joined.

Nitestand legs being shaped before glue up. It's easier to cut the curves beofe they are glued.

Legs being glued. The next step will be to flatten the back in a jig on the drum sander and then shape them.
