I have a powermatic 044 that we bought at an auction, in transit the table trunions and table mount broke. Its beyond welding. Parts are not available for this saw, at least not the ones I need. I'm considering ordering a new table mount, trunions, and table from a newer saw and then tapping the machine body to bolt the new assembly on.

Has anyone done something similiar, is just crazy?

If you don't plan on tilting the table, I would skip the new trunions and just fabricate a mount from solid 1" square steel stock, drill & tap into the bandsaw and table where needed, shouldn't be too hard to figure out. Then use shims to set the blade at 90 to the table top.

Not familiar with that saw.. but had same problem on an Enlon brand... by looking around found out that a grizzly made in the same year had identical trunions...

Might check out similiar saws and find something that will fit..
