Skype is software that provides video and voice calls over the internet.

I think skype allows a remote viewer to see you through your computers on board camera. I see many people place a piece of tape over the camera on their laptops to ensure privacy

As you have been told, Skype is a telephonic and video software that allows you to communicate via the Internet.

With 3 family members in the military, all of our grandkids, great-grandkids and 2 of our 3 children scattered around the country, we use Skype frequently. Earlier this week our 5 year old twin granddaughters in California were demonstrating for Nanny and Pawpaw their newest gymnastics routine via Skype.

Skype allows your mother-in-law to see what a terrible husband you are from any corner of the world.

Ahhh...the TRaSh80--the first computer I ever used. In Taiwan, in 2nd grade, fall of 1981. IIRC, 16Kb of RAM, with an external 5.25" floppy drive (separately switched, even). My parents bought an Apple II+ clone not long after. Wrote a lot of BASIC on those two machines...
