I have a Powermatic 20" planer of approximately 1990 vintage. Works great. But I have no off-feed [out-feed] table. The Powermatic planer has a fixed [elevation] head and the in-feed table is adjustable.

I have seen several automatically adjustable off-feed tables that are attached firmly to the in-feed table. When the in-feed table is raised or lowered, the out-feed table automatically follows.

The best way to describe the attached out-feed table is to call it an 'X' that permanently attaches to the machine at the adjustable table and to the fixed base of the planer. When height adjustments are made, the new out feed table follows accurately to the new elevation.

But how is it made? What are the critical measurements? Where can I find plans and/or technical assistance?
