Hi,

Do you guys have any suggestions for the best way to stop Mylar being scratched by the honeycomb table?

i am careful when I place the sheet and take it up but wondered if there was a better method you guys had found or do I just need to be even more careful when placing and removing before and after cutting?

Thanks as always

I would put application tape on the bottom. You get in from sign shop suppliers. It is used to mask vinyl cut signage while it is still on the backing paper. The paper application tape is the one you are after.

You might try using an acrylic grid.

I didn't do it because of scratching, but on the repeat jobs we have for Mylar, I cut an acrylic frame out of 1/8" thick material. I use painters tape and tape the Mylar to the frame, put the whole thing in the laser, and it's suspended from the grid by 1/8". I do pull it quite tight when taping it.

Scott, that seems like a sensible idea to try - thanks all
