When I was in New Zealand a few months ago, a lot of the gift shops had items in them which were made of veneered mdf, both cut and engraved. hey looked really good and the detail between the honey coloured wood and the dark lines created by the laser worked very well.
I cut mostly 3.5mm plywood as that is what we can get on the Isle of Man, none of our timber merchants do 3mm veneered mdf as a stock item, a few said they could get it in but minimum orders make it prohibitive.
Are any UK members able to recommend suppliers in England who do 3mm veneered mdf, in particular ones that will cut a sheet into the sizes that will fit inside my laser. I travel to England every now and again, so if I knew who to contact I could order in advance and collect when I'm over there.
