View Full Version : Ash Crotch Hollow Form

The grain on this hollow form reminds me of one of the carved piece by Gramme Priddel.
The look is the result of cutting the blank from between two branches, At the bottom you can see a little bit of the crotch curly.

5 inches in diameter by 6 3/4 inches tall.
Bush Oil sanded with one more coat for finish.

That's really beautiful!
Working with the crotch of the tree adds so much dimension to the grain.
And keeping the form simple, really shows that off.

Stunning HF piece! Not qualified to comments on shape yet, but I sure like everything about this down to the finish, nice job George!
When your new to turning (just over a year) like me, it's very exciting to see colors, grain, and a work of art like this...just amazing.
