I have a line on a used router table that comes with a Woodpecker PRL V2-420 lift, a Pinnacle RF-3 Fence and the Porter Cable 75182 router for around $450. The whole combo was purchased new a couple of years ago, has sat mostly idle, except for about 10 hours of use. What are your thoughts? It seems like a good deal to me. My collect on my table mounted M12V is driving me nuts, and I like the precision that the PRL offers. What does the collective think?

Sounds like a good deal considering the PC router is 300+ itself
and the lift must be at least 150. Your getting a free fence.

The router would be $300 and the lift $350, generally speaking. Most aftermarket fences are in the $200 range. It sounds like a good deal if you are in the market.

From Woodpeckers, the lift and router combo package is $669.98.
PRLV2420 + Porter Cable 7518-2

Drive and buy it now before somebody else beats you to it. I don't see this being for sale tomorrow let alone for sale this evening or afternoon. It's a steal of a deal.

I like my home made router table including home made lift. I got the idea from an old American Woodworker article. Maybe $100 in parts. I am firmly of the opinion that you can build a better router table than what you can reasonably buy. Wood dampens vibration, for one thing, which is helpful with motors turning 20,000 rpm. Normal rule of thumb is 1/2 retail for used stuff. So on a couple bases, I see this as not such a great deal. Doesn't mean they won't get the asking price, however.

I did go pick it up. Got it for $420 - He did not have the 1/4" collet. It needs some cleaning and lubrication. But it all works. Looks like he ran MDF rails and stiles through it and thats about it. I will post pics when its cleaned up. Not sure what I am going to do with his table though. :)
