While walking the dogs yesterday, I scored. Some neighbors were disposing of a 3/4" sheet of Tempered Glass 6'-8"x30" with a curved side. I got back home and grabbed the station wagon to pick it up. I got it just before another guy.

Here it is sitting on our chest freezer. I need our son to come home to help me carry it upstairs. The glass will be a top for an adjustable height desk I am making for myself. I'll bake a cake for the neighbors.

Great gloat if you have a need for it. A piece that size would cost a fortune.

Good for you Shawn. I'd get excited about a free find like that and would gloat about it too.

That is quite a freebie. It must weigh a ton!

Oh wow, that is going to make an awesome desk. That thing is as big as a standard door!

Nice gloat Shawn.

I never pass up the chance to grab free glass. Its great for laser engraving projects. I salvaged most of the one hundred year old lead glass from the windows in our house when we replaced them. Anyone in my area need some lead glass?

Sweet score. My neighbors never throw out anything cool.

I didn't weigh it, but it should be about 150 lbs. If I don't uses it as a desk top, it'll be useful to flatten plane soles on.

Nice! Wonder what they used it for??

You know you can't cut it don't you?

Great score!!! That's expensive stuff and perfect for what you want to use it for. (Of course...you'll want to invest in a case of Windex...LOL)

Yes, but I am not planning to cut it.

Very nice.

Now, if I may...please allow me to offer you a "non-woodworking you suck".
