2 questions.....what size should a wedding gift card box be? I was thinking 8x13 8" high....too small? The bride & groom intend on having it displayed in their home after the wedding....it would hold their flutes and perhaps some pics.
Also I want to include their initials in the box....was thinking about an inlay but have no expertise on creating one. Is their a place where one could order a custom inlay?
Thank you in advance
Ray

If you have a plunge router, inlays are pretty easy and straightforward to do. Just make the piece to be inlayed, trace around it with a knife, and then hog out the waste with a router. Clean it up with a chisel, then bevel the inlay slightly to make sure it goes in. The glue plus the sawdust made when you sand it down flat will fill any imperfections, usually.

8 x 13 x 8 sounds pretty big and bulky to display in a home. I would think a much smaller box would be much more practical.
