A friend brought me an old art deco stencil. It's made from what looks to be heavy waxed cardboard/paper.
It looks to have been used as a boarder stencil. He would like a new one made along with some molds to make plaster boarders like dental molding. (He is restoring an old Movie House in a small town near by)
Can anybody point me to a suppler of the stencil material and recommend a material for making the molds?
I'm running a 50 watt epilog and have a CNC ShopBot. I'm a wood guy and and realy don't know where to start.
Thanks.

Your description leads me to believe it is oilboard.

Yes, oilboard is available at any good art supply, such as Blick. FOr molding materials, try TAP Plastics. We have several local but they also provide shipping through their website.
